Short skirt silos are a great solution when you want to support the silo with a steel super structure.  This opens up all kinds of options for many applications: drive through for truck loadout, increased discharge clearance for equipment stack-ups below the discharge, or other applications where a fully skirted or legged silo don’t make sense.  The short skirt extends a few feet past the spring line and utilizes a rolled internal base angle to connect to the structural steel.  Sizes range from 10’ diameter to 15’ diameter.  The structure can even be enclosed making a weather proof shell below the silo.  Equipment mezzanines are easily integrated into the structure as well.  Let us know how FCS can provide a silo and structure solution for you today.
